Up first was Ian Baylis, Founder of Seacat Services who gave a fascinating insight into the benefits of a carbon management plan in decarbonising their wider business. The plan has enabled them to monitor all aspects of the business and vessel fleet and implement steps to reduce their carbon footprint.
Bert de Ruiter, Commercial Manager Workboats at Acta Marine, detailed the work they are doing on their sustainability agenda and the advantages of using HVO fuels, and battery hybrid technology in their latest vessel – Coastal Crown.
Looking at enabling viable solutions for zero emissions, Dr Iain Percy OBE, CEO at Artemis Technologies, discussed the work they are doing to drive forward decarbonising maritime transport, including the development of the 11m Artemis eFoilerTM propelled workboat due to be showcased at Seawork in June 2022.
