Watch: Smugglers’ ship sunk to make artificial reef

The smuggling ship MV Shingle has been scuttled off the north coast of Ireland to form an artificial reef to attract marine life.

Ten years after being seized by the authorities with contraband tobacco and cigarettes that would have been worth about €14 million in duty, the vessel has gone to her final resting place on the seabed.
