Volvo Penta claims world first with E-CTV retrofit
Volvo Penta is claiming a world first with its planned replacement of a CTV’s diesel engines with a fully electric propulsion system.
The existing vessel will be powered 100% by batteries with no on-board diesel generators to deliver longer range and zero-emissions crew transfers, Volvo Penta says.
