Vard converts PSV into a specialised cable-laying vessel
Vard has successfully delivered a specialised cable-laying vessel (CLV) to its new owner after a complex vessel conversion from a Platform Supply Vessel (PSV).
The transformation of the IT Infinity was completed for IT International Telecom Marine SRL (IT) to meet the growing demand for subsea telecommunications infrastructure.
Built originally in 2008 as the “Volstad Princess,” the vessel underwent an extensive retrofit process at Vard Brattvaag, Norway and was delivered to IT in 2024.
