Sanmar tugs enhance Turkey’s coastal safety

Representatives from Sanmar, the Turkish government and the country's wider maritime world attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony (Sanmar)

Two more ‘Kurtarma’ series tugs have been delivered to Turkey, reinforcing the country’s aims to ensure adequate emergency towage provision in a country which, because of its location, oversees the safety of one of the region’s most important and strategic waterways.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by an impressive list of local and national dignitaries to mark delivery of the two Sanmar vessels, named Kurtarma 19 and Kurtarma 20, both of which were received by the Turkish Directorate of Coastal Safety.
