Norway names its new coast guard vessel

Norway has named its newest coast guard vessel KV Hopen, the third vessel in the Vard built Jan Mayen class, ordered to strengthen the country’s control and surveillance in the northern area.

The vessel was named by  Andreas Bjelland Eriksen, Norway’s Minister of Climate and Environment, on 12 June at Vard Langsten in Norway.
