The first of three hybrid ferries for the Port of Hamburg has been commissioned featuring new five-bladed electric Voith Schneider propellers.

For communities divided by waterways, connecting each side is essential for daily life and while bridges and tunnels provide fixed links, the era of small ferries for passengers and bicycles is far from dead.
