New lease of life for 50-year-old work barge

'Tog Mor' was transported to Rotterdam by heavylift ship for its new owners (Hebo)

Netherlands-based Hebo Maritiemservice has acquired the shallow-water pipelay barge Tog Mor from Swiss offshore contractor Allseas Group SA, demonstrating that age is no barrier when recognising the value of a proven asset.

Tog Mor (‘Big Lift’ in Gaelic) was built in 1976 by Nederlandsche Dok en Scheepsbouw Mij. V.o.f. Amsterdam, which means it is now approaching its 50th birthday.
