Kongsberg Maritime is hailing a ‘new era in offshore operations’ with the successful delivery of the Reach Remote 1, a 24-metre unmanned surface vessel

A collaboration between REACH SUBSEA, Massterly, Trosvik Maritime and Kongsberg Maritime, the Reach Remote 1 has recently completed rigorous sea trials overseen by DNV and the Norwegian Maritime Authority.

Its first mission will involve conducting underwater surveys off the coast of Haugesund, Norway, with future applications expected to span a wide range of offshore operations. A second vessel, Reach Remote 2, is now expected to begin sea trials.
