Naval patrol vessel converted into hospital ship
A former Royal Naval patrol vessel has found a new life as a hospital ship operating in Africa, thanks to the work of engineers and specialists at UK Docks in Gosport.
HMS Scimitar was a patrol vessel that served with sister ship HMS Sabre as part of the Gibraltar Squadron for many years, safeguarding the waters around the entrance to the Mediterranean.
