Liberty Lines launches hybrid ferries

The first two of nine high-speed hybrid ferries, built by Astilleros Armon Shipyards in Spain for Liberty Lines, have officially launched

The vessels, named Vittorio Morace and Cristina M, are set to enhance transport routes between Sicily and its surrounding islands.

The ferries are powered by EST-Floattech’s Green Orca battery system, integrated with Rolls-Royce’s mtu hybrid propulsion system, and can operate in various modes.
