Kongsberg inks major subsea vessel deal
Kongsberg Maritime has inked a major deal for the design of two multipurpose subsea vessels
Developed in close collaboration with Olympic, the UT7623 sustainable energy vessels will be equipped will feature methanol-ready dual-fuel capabilities and hybrid battery power systems.
Key innovations include rim-drive electric azimuth propulsion, retractable azimuth bow thrusters and a suite of automation and control systems.
