Contentious subsea cable damage fully repaired

A second damaged subsea cable has had to be repaired by a specialised cable-repair vessel in northern Europe just a month after the first one was detected.

The Christmas Day incident comes after a similar service outage in the Baltic Sea, east of southern Sweden, after which Sweden and Finland deployed their navies to investigate the suspected sabotage of two cables.
