Svitzer's presence in Brazil will be enhanced following the introduction of two additional tugs (Svitzer)

Global towage service provider Svitzer has expanded its presence in Brazil with the introduction of two 70+ tonne bollard pull tugs in the Port of Itaqui in São Luís, Maranhão.

This follows the news, just two months after the announcement of the demerger, of Svitzer’s joint investment with Atlantic Towing, a member of the JD Irving family of companies, to provide two new RAL RAstar 3200 escort tugs in the port of Halifax.
