Barges transport heat in batteries along river

The River Thames is an artery already well utilised by Cory's fleet of tugs and waste barges (Cory)

Barge and tug fleet owner Cory is to use its vessels to transport a new kind of cargo along London’s main artery – heat.

The waste heat is contained in batteries in a material housed in specially designed shipping containers so they can be carried on barges to district heating customers.
