The 26th edition of Europe’s largest commercial marine and workboat exhibition provides businesses the opportunity to showcase their services, equipment, vessels and supplies to an international audience. Vessel checks reveal multiple safety concerns
Analysis of 1,600 inspection reports has revealed a lack of safety checks and improper procedures in around a tenth of vessels.
Among other findings, 12% did not inspect pilot ladders before use; 10% had no procedures on chemical and flammable materials handling; and 5% did not carry sufficient medical supplies.
