High-power batteries rolled out for new fast ferry

Damen has selected its battery system for use on its new electric fast ferry in Lower Saxony, northwest Germany.

German ferry operator AG Reederei Norden-Frisia has partnered Damen Shipyards in designing and building the ferry, and will install a battery system by EST-Floattech to make the vessel fully electric.
