New ISO standards to improve marine fuels

The revised Annex VI of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) was implemented at the start of this month.

New editions of two ISO standards on marine fuels have been developed to meet higher international requirements for air quality, ship safety, engine performance and crew health.
