Auckland, New Zealand – Propspeed, the leading innovator of underwater foul-release coatings, announced today that its continued investment in global expansion over the past several years has resulted in growth in several key segments and regions in 2022.
This growth bodes well for Propspeed’s distributor partners and the marine industry.
Under Chris Myers’ leadership as the new Vice President of Sales, Americas, Propspeed hired two new Regional Sales Managers, expanding support for distribution partners and businesses in the U.S. Cameron Robinson was promoted to APAC Business Development Manager, providing support for partners in the Asian market. Propspeed also launched its commercial division with Clint Jones’ new role as Commercial and Defence Sales Director, setting up commercial distribution partners including CMP in North America.
OEM partnerships include Palm Beach Motor Yachts and Horizon Yachts, which recently selected Propspeed as part of the commissioning of all new models. These two new partners were added to the list of other yacht manufacturers that use Propspeed such as Fairline, MJM Yachts and Riviera Yachts. Commercial partnerships include FarSounder, WASSP, and anode manufacturers CMP and Marine Protection Systems. In addition, Garmin has tested the Foulfree foul-release coating system and found it to be effective for keeping its transducers clean and free from marine growth.
“We have been able to secure excellent staff to continue to offer our customers industry-leading service, bring to market new innovative products driven by customer demand, and develop exceptional partnerships with likeminded companies who share our drive for excellence,” said Chris Baird, CEO, Propspeed. “We look forward to delivering exceptional support to our existing partners today and welcoming new ones to the table as we continue to invest in delivering world-class products, service and support for our joint customers.”
Propspeed products include Propspeed for running gear and any underwater metals, Foulfree for transducers, Lightspeed for underwater lighting and Stripspeed for easy preparation of surfaces for coating application, the perfect combination for refit season.
