Manor Renewable Energy (MRE) Ltd has signed a contract with EnBW to provide the full temporary power package of generators, personnel and vessels for the Hohe See offshore wind farm turbine installation phase.
Working out of the base Port of Esbjerg, MRE will commence work on the Hohe See project in April 2019; the project itself will compromise 71 Siemens SWT-7.0-154 type turbines giving a total 497 MW capacity and covering 42 square kilometres of the North Sea.
MRE General Manager Brett Smith commented: “We have a strong track record of temporary power delivery on German offshore wind projects and with that, a huge amount of lessons learnt which we will seek to implement into our offering with EnBW and the Hohe See project.”
Located in the North Sea around 100 km off the coast of Germany, the Hohe See wind farm, jointly owned by EnBW and Enbridge, is due for completion in 2019.
