The European based manufacturer of customized deck machinery, DMT Marine Equipment, will deliver two sets of towing equipment to the newly built tugboats of the Canadian National Defense Department.
Built to Robert Allan Ltd’s RAmparts 2400 design by the reputed shipyard, Groupe Océan, the main mission of these new vessels is to ensure safe and efficient move of larger ships, along with providing towing and afloat firefighting capability in the harbors.
Each set of deck equipment produced in-house by DMT consists of a towing and a hawser winch, an anchor mooring capstan and various deck fittings, along with the electric and hydraulic control systems to drive them with precision. “This marks our first time equipping state-owned vessels, and also our first cooperation with Groupe Océan. We’re grateful for their trust and look forward to a long-term partnership”, says Bogdan Burluc, head of Sales & Proposal at DMT Marine Equipment.
