Last week Dacon participated at Norway`s first drowning conference. The conference was held by Flyte and received very good reviews.
As a response to the UN`s worldwide initiative to prevent drowning, Flyte is an NGO, established as an instigator to facilitate a national collaboration to prevent drowning.
By gathering all parties and actors, including politicians, the ambition is to establish a zero vision against drowning.

New York pilot vessel equipped with Dacon rescue products
In March of 2022, New York Harbour welcomed “P/B New York” to the Sandy Hook Pilots station. The vessel is a converted Oil Spill Response Vessel (OSRV), which, at 208 feet long, is the largest in the Sandy Hook Pilots fleet.
The vessel is equipped with the Dacon Rescue Scoop, and a RescueStar® rescue basket. The crew conducted a successful 2-day training session together with Dacon in June 2022.
