World’s largest tidal scheme gets public nod
Early consultations with the public have shown convincing approval for a tidal power plant in England, the largest in the world.
The Mersey Tidal Power Project could be installed in the River Mersey between the northern English city of Liverpool and the Wirral. Depending on the design selected, the barrage could be up to 3km long.
