Crew stuck for 10 months on Jan De Nul dredger

Marine contracting giant Jan De Nul says it will continue to pile pressure on Mexican foreign trade authorities to release a dredger that has been detained for 10 months with its crew still on board.

Despite multiple attempts through local proceedings and diplomatic channels, the dredging vessel Zheng He is still detained at Mexico’s Port of Tampico after authorities seized it, claiming she had the wrong classification and should have been imported.
