Acciona to build Ravenna breakwater

Spanish infrastructure firm Acciona has been awarded a contract to construct a major breakwater at the Port of Ravenna, Italy

The project, designed to protect the port’s upcoming floating LNG terminal, will see Acciona collaborate with Italian company RCM Construzioni.

Scheduled for completion within 24 months, the breakwater will be built 8.5km off the coast, near Punta Marina, south of Ravenna, in the North Adriatic Sea.
