€32 million flood relief works signed for city island

An island in the heart of Ireland’s Limerick City will benefit from €32 million flood protection works in a major two-year project to begin immediately.

Construction firm Ward & Burke has won the contract, which involves a range of upgrades to existing quay walls and flood defences.
