The UK-based engine and drive specialist says it has picked up orders from customers in the far north and south of the UK that could be worth tens of thousands of pounds.

Official dealers for the big marine brands like Cummins and Volvo Penta, Prior Power had a full-size Integrated Propulsion System by Volvo Penta on its stand, which it says ‘was a real crowd puller’.

“Seawork was a great opportunity for us to catch up with so many of our service customers face-to-face,” said Service manager Daniel Platten. “Being able to display a full-size Integrated Propulsion System, developed by Volvo Penta, on our stand was a real crowd-puller.

“Designed to enhance a vessel’s efficiency, control, speed and ease of use, it’s a system we’ve worked with several vessel operator/owners on and in discussions for new exciting applications and it’s really effective at saving fuel.

“Combined with diesel-electric hybrid options, this is definitely the way forward for sustainable power in the marine commercial world, and one we are at the forefront of supporting.”

“We’re looking forward to next year’s show already.”

Prior Power offers a wide range of engine maintenance and ship repair services nationwide.
