International study poses questions on remote pilotage

Do pilots have to board or could remote pilotage be a feasible option – and is the technology up to it. An international study is asking challenging questions.

The International Maritime Pilots’ Association is asking manufacturers to answer a study on the potential of remote pilotage.

A growing interest in the topic has been driven by various factors, including Covid, but it’s not all been positive, reports Stevie Knight.
