Christmas rescue confirmed for Harland & Wolff

Just six days before Christmas more than 1,000 employees have discovered their jobs are now safe at Harland & Wolff, following a deal struck by the UK government with Spanish shipbuilder Navantia.

“A commercial deal has been reached that will protect jobs, drive investment and secure the future of the workforce,” said Business and Trade secretary Jonathan Reynolds.
