Briggs Marine has acquired Scanco, a French-based company specialising in port services and the RoRo ferries sector - a move which strengthens its European footprint and operational synergy with Irish Ferries.

Scanco, operating out of Calais and Cherbourg provides essential port services for Irish Ferries on the busy Calais-Dover and Cherbourg-Dublin routes. The acquisition will bolster Briggs Marine’s existing capabilities at the Port of Dover while offering a seamless extension of services across both sides of the Channel.
