First fuel cell for passenger catamaran approved

French zero-emission vessel designer Green Navy says a hydrogen fuel cell that has won type approval from Bureau Veritas will be used for the first time in its Prometeo vessel.

The so-called REXH2 will be used in what Green Navy says is Europe’s first electro-hydrogen-powered catamaran designed for commercial passenger transport.
