Partnership struck to improve turbine precision

Offshore Installation vessel Aeolus - Van Oord

Two firms have joined their technologies to improve the accuracy required for installing offshore wind turbines.

French firm Exail, which launched its DriX O-16 transoceanic Uncrewed Surface Vessel at this year’s Oceanology event in London, will integrate advanced inertial navigation systems (INS) into Dutch firm Pliant Offshore’s Installation Measurement System (IMS).
