Offshore wind will ‘lead Europe to energy transition’, according to energy giant Iberdrola’s chief of renewables, despite hurdles that had been put up by Covid and Russia invading Ukraine.

Speaking at the World Maritime Week bi-annual conference and exhibition in Bilbao, Spain, Xabier Viteri Solaun urged policy makers and industry leaders to renew their commitment to offshore wind energy, highlighting its crucial role in Europe’s energy transition.
