Consent milestone for Scottish floating offshore windfarm

The Salamander Floating Offshore Windfarm has reached a significant milestone with the submission of onshore consent applications for its development located 35 km off Peterhead on Scotland’s East Coast.

Applications have been submitted to Aberdeenshire Council for an onshore substation and related infrastructure.

Additionally, the Scottish Government’s Energy Consents Unit received plans for energy balancing infrastructure, including battery storage to help stabilize the electricity grid.
